Herbert Newlon, 71, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away at home on February 4, 2000. She had remarkable strength and resiliency that enabled her to overcome the effects of a previous stroke and heart problems. Her courage and faith helped her to raise the six children and also to fully support Howard in his 46 year career in television. Phyllis was a warm and loving person having a smile for everyone she met. Her 49 years of marriage with Howard brought 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, Don and three sisters, Betty, Dorothy, and Vera. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lyle, Harold, Vern, Sam, and Gene. She was a faithful member of the Nazarene Church and throughout her life, she maintained her faith through teaching Sunday School and leading and participating in Bible Study classes. Phyllis (Floro) was born in Curtis, Nebraska, December 12, 1932. She is survived by her husband, Howard Morgan and their six children, Kent, Mike, and Mark of Salt Lake City, Utah and Gregg, Vonnie and Vicki of Albuquerque. Morgan, 67, a resident of Albuquerque died Tuesday, Februfrom the effects of a stroke. until 7:00 p.m., at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. McDaniel will be held on Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. McDaniel is survived by her husband, Leon McDaniel three sons, Eugene, Tommy and Michael two daughters, Lisa and Karon eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. McDaniel died Sunday, Februin Albuquerque at the age of 57. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in remembrance of Betty on her birthday on Wednesday, August 9, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima. Private disposition will take place at Springer Cemetery, in Springer, NM, by surviving family. Arrangements have been made with Sunrise Society for cremation.
